What is WCDMA full form and WCDMA means

WCDMA or W-CDMA’s full form is Wideband Code Division Multiplexing Access.  In the gsm network, the Third generation(3G) is UMTS. The full form of UMTS is the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System. As a gsm network, 3G has a radio access network and fixed core network, to support roaming for SIM cards.  The core network has nodes (HLR, VLR, MSC, AuC, GGSN, etc.), connected to each other over a wired interface.  The Core network uses SS7, GSM MAP, GTP, etc protocols for data, voice, and SMS services. Radio network named as an access network, this includes NodeB and Radio Network Controller (RNC).
